Located in Moorabbin, we’re famous for our handcrafted gourmet burgers made with the freshest locally sourced ingredients we can get our hands on. So much so, we’ve been awarded a spot in the Good Food Guide Melbourne Under $30 for our contribution to the cheap eats Melbourne scene.
But hey, don’t listen to us; you need to hear it from the people who really matter!
"Loved the presentation in the al-foil wrapping that serves so many purposes: retaining heat, trapping in ingredients and juices and keeping my hands clean. The first thing that really stood out for me was the perfectly melted cheese slowly cascading over the beef pattie… and then I took my first bite. The creaminess of the cheese interacting with one of the most perfectly seasoned beef patties I've had in a while is about as good as it gets. The next standout in this burger, which only became apparent towards the end, was the sweet bun that remained completely intact while up against some serious juiciness. Im really glad someone has taken on the daunting challenge of bringing great food and service to the industrial, suburban parts of Melbourne that are so often neglected, and judging by how busy it was it's been well received."
" Really excellent hamburger place. The place is filled with hundreds of old signs and your eyes are constantly finding new and interesting things to look at. Top quality ingredients, really awesome beer selection. The onion rings are fantastic as are the veggie chips. The burgers are inventive and tasty."
" This place is a hidden treasure! The burgers are pure awesomeness!! "
"Best burgers in Melbourne, dining ambience is out of this world. Go try it, well worth it...great beer and wine selection."
"goodfood.com.au - If there were prizes for most unlikely restaurant location, Fat Bob's would romp it in."
"Sharkingforchipsanddrinks.com - Anyway, as much as we respect Nathan’s restaurant radar, if he hadn’t put us onto Fat Bob’s a few months before the (Melbourne) magazine blurted out the location of Victoria’s best burgers (yes, this place could beat Huxtaburger and Tuck Shop Take Away and Mr Burger in an artery-clogging heartbeat when it comes to taste and value, and random atmosphere – situated as it is in an old sign-writer’s garage on a Moorabbin industrial estate) we might not have made the half-hour scooter journey down the Nepean. But we are glad we did, because this weekly-changing menu was awaiting us at the end of it"
